2021 Mid-Michigan Farm & Garden Show Cancelled – Postponed to 2022

GLADWIN – The Mid-Michigan Farm & Garden Show has been cancelled for 2021. The decision was made following a virtual meeting with the farm show committee on Friday, February 26th.

“We are saddened to make this difficult decision, but with the current regulations and requirements surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was ultimately made for us.” commented Tristan Hewitt, Executive Director for the Gladwin Conservation District and Mid-Michigan Farm & Garden Show Chair. Although cancellation was unavoidable for 2021, there is confidence and optimism among the committee that there will be a farm show in the spring of 2022.

Beginning in 1976, the purpose of the Farm and Garden Show is to inform the public and farmers of the resources available to them. This includes non-profits and local agricultural and gardening businesses. Another focus is on educating the youth in the community. The students from the local 4-H and FFA Chapters assist the Show Committee Staff in giving the students a tour of the show. During the tour, the students stop at stations where they learn about soybeans, what is made from cattle, and eating healthy.
