The Mid Michigan Farm & Garden Show has been cancelled for April 4th, 2020. On Wednesday, Governor Whitmer and representatives from the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services announced recommendations for keeping our communities healthy while addressing the risks associated with the Coronavirus. Since then, Michigan schools K-12 have been closed until April 5th. In the state recommendations, it was noted community mitigation strategies are crucial to slowing the transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Michigan, particularly before a vaccine or treatment becomes available. These strategies provide essential protections to individuals at risk of severe illness and to health care and other critical infrastructure workforces. Preventing a sudden, sharp increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19 will help minimize disruptions to daily life and limit the demand on health care providers and facilities. This recommendation also included cancelling all large gatherings (greater than 100 people). The Mid Michigan Farm & Garden Show board has decided that as much as we want to have the show for our communities, it is more important to prioritize your health and accept the recommendations made by our state and federal government as well as health experts. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will be calling our vendors and sponsors individually to discuss options moving forward. Thank you for your understanding and God Bless.
